About Us

Blue Planet Engineering focuses on product research and development, primarily in electro-mechanical systems, and also provides services in systems & controls engineering and algorithm development, implementation, and testing. 

We have over 25 years experience  in the development of systems for various industries, including: oceanography, biotechnology devices, printing (3D metal and plastic, inkjet) , test & measurement, medical devices,  and consumer devices.   We have  developed products for Agilent Technologies, 3D Systems, Stratasys, Hewlett-Packard,  Cognex , TruMed, Sub Sea Sonics, and others.  We have also worked with the  U.S. Navy, as well as with private individuals.

We have experience across all phases of product development, from basic research and concept design to detailed design and documentation, procurement and prototyping, testing, root cause analysis and resolution of defects, assembly, and manufacturing (both high and low volume).
